There are no doubts that the choice people make says a lot about them. It concerns many of different things, and the choice of college is not an exception. A period of time when students have to think over the college they want to apply to is the time to reappraise their preferences, values, creativity, level of knowledge and skills obtained at high schools. Students choice of college means a lot for them as it directs them at the future.
Students opportunities
The choice of college a student makes shows his/her opportunities, in different meanings. There is a great difference between students who enter Sarah Lawrence College and those who apply to Berea College, for example. The main opposition is students financial abilities. The cost of education at the colleges mentioned above differs greatly. Furthermore, the ability to study for free (due to the opportunity to apply for financial aid) in Sarah Lawrence College will require higher level of knowledge as there are more students who may desire to apply.
Students preferences
Students choice of college reveals their preferences. Those who want to learn mathematics or physics should never enter a college with linguistics direction. Those students who are interested in engineering profession should better enter Berea College as it offers the program for such students. At the same time, Sarah Lawrence College does not offer such a program, providing, instead, other faculties and subjects that may involve students with other preferences.
